A landmark work
I remember I finally got a copy of this around 1970 and it was a greatly prized work. In those pre-Internet days there was no way of finding out how many stories your favorite author had written, or where and when they had appeared. (Don Tuck was still working on the final version of his Encyclopedia.) We felt a real connection with the history of the genre, reaching back to the days of Hugo Gernsback and forward to John W. Campbell. It's wonderful to see this made available to a whole new generation of SF fans.
